When Texas schools banned phones, my sisters lost the easy way to reach us during the day, so I built a small rich-communication web app the family could use from a browser instead. It’s the most “solves an actual problem in my actual house” thing on this list, which is exactly why I’m fond of it. (Built for private family use.)
